Recognize that Kia?
Matthew Guy TTAC conducted and reviewed this particular 2017 Sportage SX Turbo in early July. Readers are cautioned not an ability to read between the lines to locate the Guy disappointment in the turbocharged 2.0-liter reactivity of, or almost complete and total lack of it.

There are very few in this segment that can compete with the Sportage SX on the front of the acceleration. Car and Driver of trials suggest the only competitor able to match or even surpass, the Sportage SX is the Subaru Forester XT.
Sub-September 2 0-60 time are not common in a classroom full of crosses under 10 horsepower. But the launch of 3.4 seconds turbocharged Sportage 30-50 mph and 4.7 seconds 50-70 results are the numbers that really cause the Kia stand out from the pack.

SILVER
You pay for the privilege of such a procedure, however. This engine is only available in the luxuriously equipped trim level SX. Kia Sportage SX 2017 USA sells Turbo AWD with a $ 34,895 price tag. Yet I am always confused by the positioning of the Kia product. The same powertrain lies in the more spacious (but far from gargantuan) Sorento for $ 34,50 to $ 36,10 with the premium package EX, or $ 38,60 with the theme packages and advanced tours.
Kia has not turned the Sportage SX Turbo in a true sports SUV with great round cornering flat and fast reflexes and impactful changes. It is simply a smaller rival Sorento available for a slightly smaller amount of money.
The savings should be substantial. 2017 Kia Sportage SX Turbo, especially when it is really turbocharged, is a nice piece of kit. 2017 Kia Sorento EX Turbo nevertheless did everything better and is more than worth the modest increase in monthly payment.
